Starting her career as a model, actress Adaa Khan has gained much popularity in a short span of time. Living in the present, she feels that she is walking on the right track and will grab the good opportunities in future as and when they knock her door
Getting fame from soap titled Amrit Manthan, TV actress Adaa Khan is now gaining success from her current show called Naagin. She believes that the viewers have given excellent response to Naagin and love her character as well.
Sharing about her role she says, “I have lot of shades to play in my character good, bad, grey everything. The response is amazing and I am very happy and thankful. It’s a big turning point for my career as well. I have done successful shows in my career but this definitely is a big turning point. Naagin and Comedy Nights Bachao both are very special to me. I have also got so many compliments for my looks in the show that few have compared me with SriDevi. It means a lot.” About the tuning with co-star Arjun Bijlani, Adaa feels that each and every co star is amazing and they have good time on set, full of love and fun.
On telling about the differences working in Naagin and other daily soaps Adaa reveals, “Naagin definitely requires more hard work because we have day shifts, night shifts walking bare feet in the jungle, while in other daily soaps you have normal sets where you go day to day. So basically it requires a lot of patience and hardwork in a show like Naagin. And also to come in a Naagin getup it takes more than 1 hour, with that heavy jewellery, heavy costumes lots of patience is required. But in other daily soaps you take hardly 40 minutes or 50 minutes to get ready. This hard work really paid off and I am really happy about that.”
Playing such a serious role currently and then donning the hat of a comedian, was it a tough task for you? She replies, “Comedy is never my genre. This is the first time that I have tried comedy in Bachao. Believe me, I am very lucky that I have got to play Krishna’s partner and I am enjoying doing it. And as if now I am loving it. I live in present so I take up the challenges coming on my way.”
Over the years, she feels that there is a serious competition between the actors as well as channels. She is of the view that TRPs matter the most than the acting skills of the actors which is a serious issue to be taken into due consideration.
Living in present, Adaa never plans for future and grab good opportunities as and when arrives. “Even Naagin was not planned and it came on my way and I grabbed it. Something which is unique, something that I like to do and a strong character is what fascinates me. Basically I just love doing strong characters”, she concludes.
